Can I coach for money while in training?

Hi Bill

If I enrol for and start the training, can I start a coaching practice in the meantime and if so, what support can I expect in setting up a practice and coaching while being trained?

Coaching before certification

Hi Johan,

We don't recommend starting with professional coaching while you are still in training for obvious reasons.

That said, there is nothing legally preventing you from doing so as life coaching is an unregulated profession, so the decision is yours to make.

Ideally you want to focus on pro bono practice coaching while completing your certification requirements.

You can also do a lot of preparation for your coaching practice by reading our business practice support manuals which will help you plan, promote and sustain a successful life coaching practice.
