Credit for prior learning?

Hello,

Thank you for the opportunity to ask questions.

I would love to know the following.

1. Prior learning :
I have a Honours Degree in Counselling, B Min Counseling(Hon)and was registered with the Counsel for Counselors for a few years the time I had my own practice. Due to Financial implication I was forced to close the office. The Counselling was offered for free due to the nature of the charity organization I was involved with that time.
I am very interesting to do the Life Coaching course but want to know if I will receive any credits for prior learning. I will on request submit proof of such learning is needed.

2. Will I be able to do the Life Coaching in Afrikaans as well. I know the course will be in English and I am fine with it no problem, but will there be Afrikaans clients as well.

Previous learning credits

Thank you for your enquiry.

I'm afraid we do not offer credits for prior learning. Although counselling and life coaching are both intimately concerned with human development the disciplines are very different and require quite different skills.

Having said this I do believe that by completing life coach training you will complement your existing qualification well and you will then be able to offer a holistic range of services to people who may have suffered past trauma and who want to remove this obstacle to their development and then to move on and become empowered to build an exciting and fulfilling future.

Our training Programme and coaching system is written exclusively in English but we have trained many Afrikaans speaking coaches who have gone on to coach successfully in Afrikaans using our material.
